The name ALFRED

On the 11th of July 1893 Alfred Louis Bernardin patented his invention of the ‘Bottle uncapping tool’. Half a year later his competitor William Painter patented a similar design for opening the crown cork. Beacause William Painter managed to create a bigger succes of his product, he is now known as the inventor of the bottle opener.

To give the credits tot the first inventor of the bottle opener, we decided to design an opener in the name of Alfred Louis Bernardin.
